2007 began for me in Lombok Indonesia. I was camped at the Air Langga Hotel in Mataram and attending the University of Mataram course in Indonesian Language levels 3 and 4. New years eve was spent at the local park eating hawker food and listening to Indo pop bands on the stage. Lots of people, fireworks and the sweet smell of roasting corncobs. Weekends were spent exploring the Lombok countryside like this spot at Kuta Beach Lombok. Sante was one of my teachers at UNRAM.
